GROUPS IN MOTION

What happens after Pastor Bob finishes a sermon series? A few months ago, during our Roots series, Pastor Bob & Nellie Thomas led a focused round-table workshop about how to read the Bible more effectively. As a result, two new small groups and 16 Life Transformation Groups (LTGs) were formed to study the Bible regularly.
It reminded me of things I forgot or wasn't practicing," commented one participant. "It motivated me to read the Bible and truly pay attention to what it says and to apply it."
Other attendees stated that it made a lasting difference in their lives and that it was a wonderful way to build relationships in a large church. Joining a small group or Life Transformation Group (LTG) is a great way to keep that experience going.
"My group has been such an answer to prayer," says Kym Schlossareck. "We have seen prayers answered and friendships created. Originally we were going to break for the summer but none of us want to stop meeting."
A new way to connect at Calvary is through Life Transformation Groups. LTGs are intimate groups of two or three who meet once a week for an hour to dig deeper into God's word, apply and experience it and use it to impact the world around us.
Through her LTG, Renee Haken is learning new ways to listen to what God is saying through His words. As God expands her vision, Renee feels God is leading her to start a new outreach ministry at Calvary this fall.
