IN OUR COMMUNITY:
Children in Need of Homes George, Jim & Ben
Three brothers, George, 7, Jim, 6, and Ben, 2, still wait in the Children’s Shelter. At the least, George and Jim have been abused by their stepfather. George has had recent surgery to lengthen one of his leg and goes to physical therapy. Is God calling you to open your heart and home to help with the emotional and physical hurts children like these have experienced? Please contact Dale of Advent Group Ministries’ foster family agency to help children like these or other children of all ages at 408.281.0708. |

THE CHURCH IS LEAVING THE BUILDING
.....FAMILY STYLE
Last year, Calvary Church joined dozens of churches and businesses in the South Bay area to support the Walk for AIDS in San Jose. On May 17th, Calvary Church will leave the building again for a special family-style community service project. Calvary will be assisting Vasona Creek and Oak Meadow Parks (Blossom Hill Road and University Avenue in Los Gatos) with various clean-up and beautification projects in preparation for the Memorial Day weekend. Projects include fence removal, weed-pulling trash pick-up, and planting. Projects for families with small children will be available.
The traditional and contemporary services at 9:00am will continue as usual. We invite everyone to join us at the parks afterwards to help our community. Busing to and from the parks and all necessary will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own tools and gloves if they choose. Projects will also be available on campus to assist Adopt-A-Chaplain ministries.
Then, we invite everyone to stick around for a family-style picnic. Food will be provided but donations are accepted. Site leaders for each venue and team leaders for groups of 20-25 people are still needed. Please contact Matt Turner at mturner@calvarylg.com if interested.

PLAYHOUSE CALVARY HOSTS A TOY WASH!
Wednesday, May 20th | 9:15am
This year, Playhouse Calvary has specifically focused on community service. Children have helped bag candy for the soldiers in Iraq, donate over 300 books to West Valley Community Service, and plant flowers for Earth Day.
On Wednesday, May 20th, Playhouse Calvary will host one final project for the season. Kids will wash toys for Calvary’s Children’s department. To do this successfully, we need your help. Volunteers are needed to help our younger children and facilitate the toy wash. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping out, please contact Wendy Feierfeil at awfeierfeil@sbcglobal.net. Playhouse Calvary will meet from 9:15-11:30am.
