On January 31st, join us for our Annual Celebration in the Large Chapel. Don't miss out on this opportunity to celebrate what God has done in 2009! We'll not only look backward but forward to 2010 as well. Additionally, we'd like to share a bit about what we're learning through our Reveal Survey results. Finally, we'll have a chance to thank outgoing elders as well as affirm incoming elders. We'd love to see you there! Childcare and lunch will be provided.

BUILDING LIVES:
Got a little love to share? Every other month, Shining Stars hosts a respite for children with special needs and their siblings. Shining Stars needs special "tenders" to love on these children and have fun with them for the evening. No experience is needed. Nurse and trained staff are there to assist. This is also a wonderful opportunity for families to provide disability awareness by including their children in the evening. INTRODUCING OUR NEW ELDERS:
FRANK BERGANDI AND TERRY RUTLEDGE
This Sunday, January 31st we will have our Annual Celebration meeting of the congregation. We will be asking the members of Calvary to affirm two new elders, Frank Bergandi and Terry Rutledge. We are excited about their leadership over the coming years. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Steve Boersma, Dave Henderson and Dan Yoder for their faithful service on the Elder Board.
FRANK BERGANDI
 Frank Bergandi has devoted his life to being a Kingdom Entrepreneur after a 35 year successful career in the computer and computer software industry. His passion is in helping others develop their ministry visions. Currently, Frank is a Founder and Board Member of Adopt-a-Chaplain, a Board Member of Hills and Hollers Ministries and a Founder and Board Member of The Barnabas Group of Silicon Valley. Frank and his family have attended Calvary Church since 1997. While at Calvary, Frank has been involved as the president of the PeopleBuilders Congregation, a Deacon for 4 years, a member of the 2nd base team and a member of the Leadership Development Team.

TERRY RUTLEDGE
 Terry came to know Jesus in 1971. Knowing Jesus and enjoying the indwelling Holy Spirit has lead him to a full life in the Body. He has discovered that his strongest spiritual gifts are in knowledge, teaching and wisdom. Terry enjoys the opportunity to teach adult Sunday school as this provides spiritual growth. Terry and his wife, Nina, committed to ministry with the Calvary Church in 2007. Nina and Terry committed to ministry with the Calvary Church body full time in the fall of 2007. Terry has always worked in the area of Men’s ministry and served in a leadership capacity as a lay member. He also enjoys greeting people so can be seen once a month out near the parking lot having fun and shaking hands. Serving the Lord has always provided him a sense of peace and joy.

One lonely and grieving woman came to one of our new small groups last week. She sought encouragement and support from God and friends. A group surrounded her with exactly what she needed to move beyond her pain. Fifty six people attended brand new small groups and many found new friends and went deeper in the Word.
